    The layout of your website is critical! At one look visitors will decide whether to linger or exit. A structured site will have user friendly content and pictures. The content should be easy to find and easy to read. Crazy decorative fonts that are hard to read can take away from the professional look of your website.

    The first step you should take in laying out your website is to think about your audience; who is it that you want to attract to your site?

    The second step you should take in building your website is to sit down and decide, based upon your audience, what your goal will be with this site. Will you be selling something? Do you want to have an effective or cognitive appeal? What do you want people to see and feel first off when they come to your site?

    The third step to take in laying out your website is how many pages do you anticipate? What will you have on each page?

    In conclusion, in order to be effective in laying out your website you need to think of you audience, your goals, and the content for each page!
